steetly pier last night

me and a mate from work fished steetly last night, first time, never fished there before, got there around 9:30pm. 3rd cast my mate pulled in a 5 lb cod and i got NOWT, hate blanking lol

would be nice to know if anything else was caught.

and also when is the best time and the best place to fish on steetly.

have fished steetly for the last 7years and i still don,t really know when there is a best time, i have fished it during a heavy sea ,just after, when the sea has dropped and when its dead flat, cought fish on all of them and blanked on all of them as well, what i will say is, if you catch it right when the cod come on, it really is magical, as good as anywhere in the country.one night i fished there with my mate and about another 20 anglers and almost every one was catching not 1or 2 but double figure bags, all in the 3 to 7 pound range and a few doublers the best being 16lbs, i got my best shore cought fish that night of nine and a half pounds, it also, i belive holds the n.e record for a shore cought bass of 14 pounds.
