Hello lads back at the Pool Sat. Heugh looked a bit uncomfortable with the strong south wind so thought Steetly.
Started right at the end where there is a hole near an old wooden jetty. (me and Ian spotted it last time down).
Couple of good knocks but after an hour decided to try and get off the end into deeper water. Couple guys came off concrete part as i got there. Just about to set up when one of the lads on the end caught a nice cod. I used my dropnet to try and get it up. The line wrapped around the top and the fish hung under but we got it up.weighed 5lb.
Not long after one of the other lads hit a cod,i offered the net but it was deep hooked so i hand balled it. 6lb.
Thought bingo we are in here.
Caught half doz whities some which were huge. I gave these away. I wanted a nice cod but it was not to be.
Left about 10:15 pm and just got in.
More anglers were coming onto the pier for an all nighter as i left.
There was some lovely rollers rolling in as well.
