Well down the royal Quays at 6am and out the locks for 6.30, headed out to a flat sea and back in at 2pm.
The pic says it all for the day really, dark cloud of rain and a dark day fishing wise, one of the worst have known at sea and the worst on my own boat.

We did catch cod fish and found some mackerel as well in the end but a poor day and the 3rd one in a row.

Hope so Norman worst day at sea on my own boat today, never enjoyed it at all and the drift was spot on for long periods of time, chucked the towl in for the next two trips. I can take not getting many if the weather is poor but when its good i.e flat sea and slow drift for a few hours and 9 wrecks later, 1 sand bank and 2 rough ground spots dont produce much its all sad news.

Anyone got a rope :)

Hard Lines Richy As Always You'll Of Give It Your Best Shot And Got Yourself Twisted In Knots With Frustration:mad::mad:, Can't Of Helped The Day Any By Losing An Old And Trusted Friend Either. R.I.P. Rod&Reel :(.

Ha'way Richie these are what makes good days special it's not called catchin it's called fishing and being on your own boat escaping from the world gotta be good if nowt else;)

Yes thanks again rich for the chance to get out even though it was not the best days fishing we have had ,but we tried our hardest
to no avail, hard slog all day ,rain ,wind nee fish ,never mind as they
say there,s always next time haha ,missed the chat with big, sid hope to see you next time.

saw you coming back in next to the north bouy,,if its any consulation we had a terrible day as well fish wise,, and there was 10 rods on our boat,,Davy..

A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work Ritchie ,incidentaly I had a terrible day at work which makes your bad days fishing seem great mate.

Yer parrot we came in close for the last hour, tried the yellow boy, a couple of drop offs that produced well in the past and 3 inshore wrecks at souter...total result no bites lol.

But as always how ever the day went the catch or none catch will be reported.

For Bob

My catch 1 cod

34 mackerel :)

A few of my mates on Saturday where out and they only got one cod and macky so ya not the only one struggling mate sure you will get amonst the fish again.

Just need that water to clear up and a settled spell before winter sets in but i guess if the season was over now we can look back and say this has been a great season with everyone taken some cracking cod and ling.

11th of Oct was my last day out in 2009 and still taken mackerel but september was a settled month last year so who knows :)
