Stingray 2/6/09

Second good day ina row but was cut short by a few hours due to that NE wind they said would come..it changed from flat to whooomaaaa in about 20mins.

Anyway myself and Sid out today, headed off at 8am and hit 7 wrecks, ended up with a nice bunch of fish i would say 24-25 cod and ling as well as the scotties upto about 6 maybe pushing 7lb.

Some good fun on light gear and nice weather in the morning.

Bloody gave up on them, seen squid, eel, herring,coalie sprat but nothing chasing them. Chatted with 2 lads today 1 north of Tyne 1 south..still no mackerel for them or me.

Maybe week after as this weekend looks a right off, sea was building very very quick today, just got int he piers with the big east rollers on our ass

Yer everyone seems to be landing now so things looking up at last, lots of 4-8lb ling about also.

Often i dont take the camera to be honest.

Chucked everything back today as had our fill on Monday, put 25 back to fight some other day, only 1 ling died and never went back.

Had a great day, might not of seemed like it coz a chucked up a couple of times but gettin them cod soon put that o the back of me mind, took my few on royds baited with squid, so cheers again richy for takin is out

Ling and about 5 or something cod cant be bad for 1st time out.

yeah am over the moon with me catch, and caught me biggest fish to date, and considering the past few weeks all av caught has been whiting and a load of sand eels, just hope next time am on a boat me guts stay settled
