Flat sea yes a flat sea in July whats going on :)

Well with the airshow being on i dragged myself up ay 4.45am and was out the lock gaes for 5.15am, no wind and the sun popping tis head out...looking good.

Picked the new crew man up (glad you had a good day) and off we went, never bothered with any of the close in marks due to the colour of the water so we headed out and bagged up a few mackerel then then went onto the 1st wreck...both of us into fish straight away with 2 cod and 1 ling, couple more drifts and a couple more ling.

Decided since it was so nice we would go and hit some wrecks on the 10-11mile mark, had 4 wrecks in mind and we plucked away taken cod, ling and pollack. Every wreck we fished had something on and thou the numbers landed not great we took fish off every sinlge wreck we fished.

Puffin at last got one on camera

So at 2.30pm it was time to head in with nice total of 30 cod and ling between 3lb and 11lb 4oz and 3 pollck all 4-5lb.

My catch

7 ling upto 8lb
6 cod 3lb-7lb
2 pollack 5lb
2 small coalie
Loads of mackerel

I looked at the webcam yesterday morning and thought there's no way we'll get out today, but it's a amazing how quickly the sea flattens off.

Have to admit the roles of pessimistic weather predictions were reversed this week with Richie sounding fairly positive from the off...I'm with you Keith I wasn't sure it would happen at one point and was expecting a much bigger swell than the very gentle roll we were greeted with :red:

Well Done Madmacam on the Doubler - nice one lads :)

I've been trying to catch a pic of a seal next to the boat for ages , they don't like things pointed at them :) . Enjoy your day out tomorrow Rich.
