With work at 2pm a short sesh was planned, at 4.45am the alarm clock started ringing and i wa sup and ready and at the marina for 5.30am with my not so please at the time ma.

Well i went against the weather forecasts today and set out at 6am for a 12 noon finish, got to the piers and yes it was lumpy but well fishable and no worse than it has been the last few times out.

So set about going for mackerel and really struggled close in taken only 1 and that was landed by my mam.
Headed abit further out and met up with Norman and Keith on Slinky for a bit cod bashing, plugged away taken pan size 3lb-5lb cod then moved around abit to a few other wrecks taken odd ling to 5lb and a nice 5lb pollack.

Only tried 4 wrecks today due to the time and took fish off all of them, with the sun out the wind and sea droping i wished i was heading off for a further 5 hour sesh but that will have to wait for the weekend, still we had a great few hours out numbers wise just no big boys today best tactics, twin tails and pirks and macka bait for the ling, we headed in at 12 noon with a catch of...

Stingray...

48 cod 3-5lb
2 ling 5lb
1 pollack 5lb
2 coalie
2 pouting
mackerel

My catch 32 cod, 1 pollack, 2 coalie and mackerel, my mam had a great time and even had to stop fishing as her arms hurt so i took that time to race into the lead fish wise :)

Will post pics tonight

That’s a good haul for only a few hours fishing Rich.
We had a similar sized pollock too last Sunday; it could be worth a session with a spinner or sandeel targeting them over the rough ground.

Few pics

Sun rise or as close i i will ever get to it 5.30am
