Stonebridge Tomorrow.

Hi,
Myself Seddo and another friend are going down to Stonebidge in the morning.
We are booked on the specimen lake so hoping for some good ones
We also have breakfast booked at the lodge £5 a head, first fishery i have been to that has offered this, cannot be bad.
Camera packed and also the video cam hope to post a clip tomorrow night,
Tied some flies to try after i have caught my personal best

Arrived at Stonebridge about 8ish this morning and were given a very warm welcome by the fishery owner Richard who turned out to be a great guy.

We fished for a couple of hours then had a cracking cooked breakfast dished up by Richards wife and served by his daughters.

The day was spoiled to a fashion as it rained off and on all day, having said that the fishery is stocked with some cracking fish.
John stole the honours with 8 fish, myself 2 and our mate, well I won't go into that as he took some stick all day.

A special thanks to John for tying me some of his special flies, you have to turn your back to the water when tying them on as the fish will jump out to get them. .

Over all, another good day's fishing, smashing company and a good water to wet a line.:thumbup:

Yes Loll a good day, met some good lads and had some good crack,
One guy we met was Joe Foster a fly fishing champion and we had a exchange of flies, that was very interesting.
The fishing was hard you had to work for your fish, got smashed a couple of times.
You had to kill the first fish, Seddo had the heaviest at 5 lbs mine was 4lb, caught nothing big but returned fish up to about 5lb.
The welcome from Richard was unbelievable some guy.
Never took a video as the weather wasnt that good, the breakfast was mint at £5.
I highly recommend this venue the fishing was great under the conditions and must be explosive when they are right.

Nice and tastey Jamcod.
The F.C will more than likely order a double breckie.
We will have to sort something out for a trip to Stonebridge later.
