took the day of after i had a call saying the sea was looking good.crap start at steeple rock with codling bites that came to nowt,they were picking up the bait slack lining then dropping it.
managed to get one of them 3lb and then it went dead.
moved to a gulley just before low and the same sort of finicky bites,the air was blue lol. then the tide turned and it went mad they were wolfing down baits i had 10 codlings to 4lb and a coley a few of them were caught in mins of casting out so i was just chucking the same bait back in,in little over an hour,things were that hectic i never noticed a big wave(no danger)and got soaked with the spray,just hope my mobile is alright lol
out again today with crack-off coming up for a chuck,might head further north now the seas came away proper.

sounds like you had a good day when it started fishing , also starting to see a few reports with fish being taken, hopefully things are picking up. hope my evening sesion has good results to
