Had a great time. Fished 6am most mornings for 3 or 4 hours. Loads of Mackerel, Pollack to 4lb, coalies to 2.5lb and even a 1.5lb Red codling on spun sandeel!

Fished the back of Whithorn on the sunday with jonnymc, plenty of mackerel, with a few Pollack. The place was an absolute tip, a disgrace.

Monday morning, fished Cairn Head with Jonny again, a few fish but not as good as previous years. Went back out on the evening at a new mark I found, had Pollack, coalies, mackerel and a lovely red codling.

Tuesday, Fished with Emma, my eight year old, at the same mark I'd found at the back of where we were staying. Result - Emma 6 Pollack and a Mackerel (her first), me nothing!

Wednesday. Went for a bit of an exploring trip at the base of some cliffs north of the Isle. Found a mark after a bit of rock climbing and seagull nest dodging. Had about a dozen good Pollack to 4lb, with mackerel thrown in.

Thursday, had a lie in! Went out for a couple of hours at 5pm and had 4 Pollack and some Mackerel from Emmas mark!

Friday morning. Finally got on an island I'd had my eye on all week. About 10-15ft of water at my feet, with lovely kelp beds visable. Had 6 Pollack to 4lb and a few mackerel. Best moment was when I slowly reeling the sandeel in at my feet, lifting it out, and a 2lb Pollack coming from nowhere, jumping 6 inches clear of the water and grabbing it!! I nearly sh*t myself!! It made my week.

All the fish came to either floatfished or spun frozen sandeel. I was going to have a trip to Port Logan, but never got round to it as the day I had planned, the wind sprung up for a day.

Took a few phone pics, so here you go.....

Went there on Wednesday, although you can't see the mark on the pic of the cliffs. I only had a couple of hours on it as the sea was a bit lumpy, but had some nice Pollack from it. Its a bit of a climb though
