posted on 17/11/2005 at 12:49Fished it for the first time last night,i got there just before dusk and fished two rods.
Which i found to be hard work.
Set up along side the pipe.
Baits used were rag,runnidown,squid and razor.
Started to catch almost straight away,at first very small whities,to many to recall.I went up to a bigger hook and bait but was still getting the odd one.
As darkness set in the cod arrived,had around 4 i think and a fair few flaties and coalies.
Seemed to take any bait a put in but the cod were all on runni and squid/razor coktails.
The beach was very quiet,one guy fishing when i arrived but left and one other down near the car park.
As the tide went down the sea dropped and things tailed off,but i was almost out of bait and knackered.
Fish a lot lighter next time,always take everything in case me.
Plus just one rod.
