went up to craster on monday 6.30am and fished cullernose point and school hole rocks, one 1/2lb flattie from cullernose early morning
moved north onto school hole rocks 12.30 pm ish, caught my first ever red cod just under 1lb (returned) moved further north and caught what may have been some kind of scorpion fish 1lb 4oz (returned) fish but might be wrong, i might need some help on this one. had a great day out and met up with with a few nesa members, rayuk and fishfinder left after running out of fags and food also rag and peeler looking not so good

Mark its nice sized scorpion fish, a lot of people are scared to handle them but they are harmless if held by the bottom lip while unhooking.

I've picked them up my hands no bother. A few nasty spikes on them, but they're pretty docile so they don't flap about too much.

just somethimg i had to add about cullernose point
the RUBBISH !! i have lived here in the northeast all my life and always picked my rubbish up. on the point their was loads of c**p people had left behind, and there will be people who don't give a s**t. it makes the place look ugly, untidy and is dangerous to wildlife. it takes seconds to pick up a fag packet or bottle or can
howay lads lets keep the northeast tidy!. there are not many things i feel strongly about but this is one of them we have a great coastline and fantastic countryside lets not give the southerners something else to winge and complain about

Not just there. When I was at the Isle of Whithorn (and Jonny will back me up on this) it was a tip, an absolute disgrace. To me, it was no co-incidence that there was a load of charvers from the north east fishing there every day.

Pleased? to see I`m not the only one disgusted at the state of Cullernose.

And it`s every time you go, not just the odd occassion.

Dirty buggers!
