Fished Lynemouth this morning ,had a couple of chucks and thought " waste of time" and went home...silly me lol never mind eh ,so tonight I had a look down at the fish quay and spoke to a lad from longbenton club he said he'd got nowt so I decided to fish Cullercoats which is a first for me, well the bay is anyway . I know this will sound familiar to the old timers on here but after my second cast I got a strange bite ..a bit wobbly really so I struck into it and it was one of those "yes it is no it's not "type of things .Then I got half way in and whatever it was started going mad kicking and bucking harder than I've ever felt before followed by ..and I'm sure IanW posted the same thing a while back ... everything stopped SOLID no way could I move anything ,I was fishing with a pulley rig and rotten bottom 15lb line on the rotten bottom and good strong 4/0 mustad hooks ,when it came away the hook was stripped and I was left panting..bugger
