Fished Seaton Sluice rocks last night from just before 7pm thru to 8.30pm behind the Kings Arms. Tried there a couple of times before and had no luck but figured it was worth another shot.
Right tackle graveyard so I took the trusty bag of old sparkplugs (2 screwed together weigh around 5oz or so)... First cast was barely in the water 5 mins when the rod was jumping like a flea, hit in and a nice red cod just shy of 4lbs put up a fair old fight.
Had quite a few more bites and hit into fish twice more only to end up snagging on the retrieve, really is bloody snaggy there! I was using Rag and Lug but the fish I landed had a mouth and belly full of velvet swimming crab.

Well done always fancied fishing there myself
fished it once during the day but no good, and it is a tackle graveyard.

It's really bad to the right of the old harbour entrance (to the right if you are facing the sea) where I was, fish seemed to be fairly close in though.
