Went to bed as soon as i got in. Never fished it all wrecks neted far out, heading upto Seaham and nothing on them wrecks came home. Fishing is crap this year on the wrecks, we just decided not to bother going out todayso Dave went home last night and i caught up on my kip.2-3 weeks before we will be out again now.
Poor year so far i think.

We went far out but never touched the graveyard proper , took a circle 35miles out and arced south to 25miles of hartlepool . Came back in and up the coast . Did a total of 95miles in one day .
paul and Brian ( off Isobel ) are talking of the Gas rigs at 60 miles ! Too dodgy for us like . In two weeks time , we are heading for the far side of the graveyard and working north around it . Another marathon trip , Paul has already been and marked the wrecks out so it's straight to business .

My only comment Dave is that on Saturday I caught most fish (cod wise) at St Marys .... seems the wrecks are getting harder and harder to fish.
I gave up on the adastra, no matter what lure, hook bait, etc I used it went in didnt get to the bottom and came up mackerel, even mackerel baited bare hooks !!!

There's no doubt about it Norman , the wrecks are very poor this year and St mary's is a good bet . Our quest at the mo is for the biggy and the days of the 1000lb catches are history . I hope we hit lucky one day and it wont be for the want of trying . We put every bait down possible on some very good wrecks and they were barren , we shall continue our quest till we may get lucky though . Watch this space

Watch this space mate am already looking into prices for next year. Around tromso. Now that Ryan air are flying to oslo the price will come down. Looking at around 250-300 per person for a week based on 4 fly drive to oslo.
