well lads me & peter went 2 the cliffs last night not realy expecting much
but- my second chuck i got a good knock & i struck in2 it only 2 find no weight there, so i reeled the slack in & bang my rod went over again.
when i got it 2 the bottom of the cliffs it hung me up
we looked over & all we could see was a bit of a fish sticking out from under a bolder.
so i tightend down on it & sat on my rod until the tide went out.
after about 3/4-hour peter said he will walk along the cliff 2 see if i could get down.
he was gone 4 a while, next thing i see a beam off a head lamp at the foot of the cliff, yes it was peter, i just heard him shout f***ing hell.
yes u guessed it i have got my long awaited doubler yipeeeeeee!
bang on 12lb on 3-yellows tipped with a white.
just like 2 say cheers 2 pete 4 going down 4 the fish- thanx m8t.
what made it harder thou was that pete's headlamp failed while he was down there, so i had 2 guide him back with mine from the top of the cliff.
well here it goes lads-

Well done.
I would have thought all the decent fish would have gone off to spawn by now.

Well done Bill , I know just how you feel when finally catching your doubler for the first time as I recently caught my first one . It makes all those occasions where you had no success worthwhile . Great story and team work , congratulations .
