Braved a force 6 SW last night for a firstsession of the year with a guy from Girvan i "hooked " up with on Mike Thrusselll's site

we managed four fish and a surpirise
he had a wee codling and a size coalie i had two coalie biggest of approx 1 1/2 lb

the surprise was on the inevitable last cast

will be back in slightly more favourable conditions

heard a report from another mate of a session at the yellow isle of 3 hr duration producing a mixed bag of 50 +fish biggest being a 2 1/2lb + codling. Haul included codling, coalie, haddock, flatties, whiting and the elusive (not )doggie on Sunday pm

Nice one mate ,I have the view of take it if you're gonna eat it or if in doubt let it go back ....I was gutted the other week when I caught a 1.5lb codling and it was bleeding badly ,I tried to get it to swim but it was knackered but as Jim said it's no good just letting it go to float dead on th top of the water so I scoffed it instead .
