fished roker pier for 2 hours tonight, 4-30 til 6-30. ended up with 13 decent whitings and one dab all took on macky strip. it was blowing a gale when i came off and it looked like the sea was building from the south east.

If it's half as bad there as it is here it must be a nightmare to try and fish in it.

i started on the round head but it was that bad i ended up in the bunker, it was like a different world there, due to the wind direction it was totaly sheltered. it was a bit rough walking off the pier though once i'd left the sanctury of the bunker.

I fished there Sunday afternoon Mick, it was exactly the same, most casts you got a double shot, but there were quite a few undersize. Impressed by the size of most of them as they're normally skinny at this time of year.
