Hi Lads & lasses, me & my mate keith fished the west side of the blocks on the ebb, & fished the east side on the flood, had 2 coalies & 2 whiting. one was deeply hooked the other just lipped, it was a truly beautiful fish. you just know it, so i hooked it on to my gripper wires and dropped it down the harbour side. i waited 5 mins it wasn't going to make it, so i dropped down and picked it up, when i came home i weighed it ,at1lb 7 and full of roe, which did'nt go to waste. The pier,is this time of yearjust a plaice hehe to practice with our new gear & get ready for all the new species that are about to show on this coast. We know the fishing goes quiet this time of year, but today their were porpoises and a big cow seal enjoying a big fish , yea sheilds peir is'nt fishing
