Had our first trip of the season up to St Abbs . Weather was clear and sunny until midday when the wind came from the south east . There was a heavy northerly swell in the morning , but by early afternoon it was white water from the south east . I managed to catch two nice Ballen Wrasse weighing 3lb 9 oz and 3lb 2oz . I had forgotten how much the walk along the cliff tops and back to the car park takes out of you , legs and back acheing a bit now . Overall a decent start to my summer season after having a couple of months off . Off to Seahouses next week for our next club match , here's hoping for some summer cod .

Paul , You must have been quick off the mark with the result as I only dropped Dave off at home at 17-25 , then got home and put my crabs back in the tank for next week . By the way the competition was 10 to 3 and not 10 to 2 . It didn't make any difference as the tide had pushed us all off the marks and the combination of wind and swell made it uncomfortable .
