posted on 7/12/2004 at 02:23Started off at Collywell Bay just had a few chucks as I only got one bite. Moved up to Blyth beach north end and caught a few Whiting. Tried three different rigs and caught on all But the best seemed to be my usual pully pennel rig with 4/0 hooks lol. I tried a single hook clipped down rig with a 1/0 hook and a scratching rig with two size 1 hooks. Seemed to me that the bigger baits attracted the fish better tonight.
Most of the fish came before high water and stopped for 15 minutes before and after high. then I caught a couple of smaller ones.
Never mind will be back out on Friday.
