6 of us fished the beach 7 - 10.30 with LW about 9pm. Plenty of little flounders from the off on rag or rag/mackerel. Giles Evans had 2 nice turbot which both fell just short of 30cm limit. Both took rag and mackerel. As flood started two of us got a flounder at the same time then just small ones again.
Nice to get out again after some weeks off.

Nice one Peter we tried Newbiggen with similar tactics but only ended up feeding crabs.

One of the lads tried chucking at bigger distance but most of the fish were at no more than 30 yards. I stuck to bass rod and fixed spool which I prefer for flatties.

Picking the next ones tomorrow night. Got a couple of trips away picked for later in the summer (Portpatrick and Eyemouth). Giles turned out and had a couple of turbot early on.
