Summer cod bait

I know that peelers are the top summer cod bait when fishing the kelp, but does anyone use anything different and still catch?

i have always done ok on flamborough with mussel/razor wraps

although it isnt really kelppy

Big king ragworm sometimes works but crab usually best.

well for the past 2 summers i have been using Lug worm Small ones with 4 o4 5 on a hook at a time and done better than in the winters,ive used crab but its been out perfored by the lug even more so when the water is at its cleanest...
