Well guys went down to Hartlepool today and took dad out forinner in Morrisons. Dropped off at 1pm then went to the Heugh. Thought rocky area better chnce for a cod.
Anyway fished two rodsThe big onloaded up and right out. The second 30 yards 3 hook flapper with mackeral strips,and look what the closest rod pulled in.

Biggest Flounder i,ve caught before lads reckon out 1lb. Anyway kissed it good bye and let it go.
My old mate Malclm was on the pier ad he hooked into a big fish but the hok snapped. Ge reckons about 5lb We never saw this but i saw the bend on his rod.
Fishing conditions were very odd. Very foggy and unabe to see 5 feet n the dark.Sea like a millpond.
Whities flatties caught and returned and some very small cod caught (by some other lads).

Well done marra good report, especially 4 geting fish out in those conditions unlucky to that lad who lost the cod. Flounder looks canny, most of the time i catch and release them, not for the lack of eating quality just in some parts i fish they are becoming rare.

well done mate, not bad at all , i just managed my pb flounder in the comp today at 2lb 5oz cant stop smiling, i have had the camera in the car for about a week as i keep for getting it when i go, but remembered it today and look what happened , battery went or its broken but i had loads of witnesses but well done mate on the catch

welldone mick mate ya getting a few fish at the moment mate keep up the goodwork,and a3rox thats a belter of a flounder that size welldone ive had one near enough but never had any working scales maybe this summer might show some good size ones
