The Sunderland Shore Angling Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th February. This is a Heaviest Single Fish Competition - one angler, one prize. Fishing times each day are from 1 pm to 5 pm with weigh in 5.15 pm to 6.15 pm.
Registration at the Eastenders Social Club, High Street, Sunderland from 10 am to 1 pm. Tickets are also on sale from local tackle shops. Entry all classes is £10 with an additional optional HSF each day £2.
Boundaries are from South Shields Pier to the north side of Ryhope Dene. The pier and foundations are out of bounds. Anglers may fish all public areas on both banks of the River Wear upstream to the A19 bridge.
Prizes each day are
First £500
Second £300
Third 200
There is an excellent supporting prize table worth over £2,000 each day.
