Super mag or not

Having searched through the net the cheapest i could get for a penn 525 supermag extra was 150 pound and i was willing to pay that.but i thuoght support your local tackleshop and gave them a ring. yes the boss sez we have a supermagg in stock 135 pound.thats cheap are u sure its a supermag yes ,the boss said .to cut a long story short i am sitting here with a 525 mag extra i think and am canny anoyed.he said penn change the spec on the reels all the time and this is a supermag .i could have got a525 mag extra for 117.me being a soft touch i fell for his sales patter.is it worth keeping but i will never use this big,well known tackleshop again.

I payed £150 for my supermag extra over a year ago. Ian my mate has a green abu mag 600. They are pretty much the same in performance.
I bought my supermag from NETS at Hartlepool. No sales patter-good service-and Jay chucked a spool of 15lb line as well.
Later found that one of the side plates had an hairline fracture-replaced part no bother.
Have you checked flea bay for the prices. As far as i am aware there is not that much difference.
If your not happy take it back and get a refund or swop.

got my 525 mag extra off flea-bay for £72 plu £6 p+p. thiers two guys on thier selling reel after reel.i just kept bidding a low price every time they re-listed the reel and eventualy got one, nee bother.
