Heading to the Mull next weekend but never fished it april before just wanted to know if anyone has heard whats gettign caught and what marks are producing? any info woudl be great there for 5-6 days
The sound of mull and loch sunart have a few big skate around,
I was up there 2 weeks since and its was pants from the shore. The seas have been huge so all the pollack were still out in deep water, but have started to show. My neighbour stayed an extra week after I came back having caught naff all, and he\'d seen a few reasonable fish.
If your on mull go to the tackle/bookshop in tobermory. They have some leaflets on the counter with all the good shore marks on and also do 4 hour boat trips (weather permitting) for about 15 quid.
If you want I can scan the one I have in and post it (if I can find it still)
Cheers i have fished there for about 12 years now but have never been up before june before but got lots of leave to use so might as well head up.
Mainly shore fishing but might get on a boat trip if the weather is ok.Pollack, codling, conger and wrasse will be the target species but dogfish would be welcomed as well.
Cheers lads. yer i am staying at drumore as normal .Yer we will have our own diggie comp i think and try port patrick for some pollack, always done well for pollack up there.
Anyone recomend any good short notice boats we could go on as our regular charter skipper died last year and no one has filled his shoes.
Richy i\'ve never used any of these as i\'ve never getting round to boat fishing over there but its worth giving them a ring
