Swap wanted. penn 535gs for slosh 30.

Got a 535gs , and persevered with it, but got a bad nest last weekend inthe dark, so went back to my slosh 30. and It just felt better in my hands, so If anyone has a slosh 30, and fancies a Penn 535Gs email me

Most problems with Penn 525\'s and 535\'s is the tuning, too much line and too thin an oil with give nightmares. Thicker oil and line 5mm below flange lip will run fine for mags and GS models, just play with blocks on GS till right.

Strange how different reels suit people differently.......... I\'m completely the opposite, Paul.......love me 535, but carry a Slosh30 as a backup. or just to stick on for a change.......much prefer the 535 and never had a problem with it (mind you, I\'ve not had a problem with the Slosh, either..........just personal preference, I suppose.

Like Tony, I cannot get the hang of my Slosh30, might have too much heavy (35lb) line on it but I much prefer my 525 and 535s.

Not really a case of not being able to get the hang of it, Chippy........I just prefer my 535 MUCH more...

I\'m the same as Paul on this one, I much prefer my Slosh 20 and 30 to my 535gs. Even heavy oil doesn\'t seem to tame it and it\'s been relegated to my backup rock fishing reel, just in case the Abu 9000 ever busts (nah, I don\'t think that will ever happen either!)

In it\'s favour though, with heavy line it\'s sheer strength and winching power make it almost as good as the big Abu for the rocks, and it\'s a damn sight cheaper.

Horses for courses I guess, although the Slosh\'s do seem to suit people with big hands better.

bit like what Harold says don\'t fill the spool to high on the slosh either,theres more than enough spool capacity for you.
