Arrrrrrrreet Lads - Just a quick post from BriH from Stanstead Airport ,on my way to Another European trip to watch the Toon Army on Foriegn soil - Christ the Strongbow is £2.90 a pint in here but its an away trip after all - We have already qualified so this is a total P*ss up - As always to be honest - Hey the joys of the internet (my mates are going mental -that i am posting this and not drinking,So its back to the Bar Lads Cheers all. I\'ll leave you all on a lighter note. Travelled to Northern Italy once Many relaxing things done on the hairyplane, piled in to mine hosts kip, 7:00am everyone weird to bits, lets go wander round this beautiful mediaeval citadel took a right out of the place we were staying walked 400 yards (or centimes whatever) and saw the amber glow of an open pilgrims pit stop. Now in Europe the drink is sold at any time so asking for a proper one at 8 in the morning is not a capital offence......... thus I scanned the pumps (and optics, I was on tour) and spotted a pump with the TENNANTS SUPER badge of beauty attached. Now I thought that\'s not on, it\'s like wearing Hell\'s Angel\'s colours for a laugh or pretending to be a Vietnam Vet, so odered up a Litre. If I could speak Italian I would, but can\'t ......SALUT(E)... \"off fong gulay\" Twas Tennants Super on draft un fucking believable. Had 4 litres, lost me mates missed out on three days (memory loss) and all sorts of other terrible things.

them were the days, bottle of thunderbird before we went out, hit the toon for 6 where trebles were to be had for a quid then into some proper pubs for a few bottle of dog.

One other beverage that I found was scandia special. off the tennants/carly special idium but half the price. we used to have to got a wallsend to buy it, the only place I ever saw it. True beers of distinction one and all.

my foreign travel story then.... Working in california in the late eighties, where anal retention is genetic, and they think budweiser is the worlds best beer (californian bud was a pathetic 2.4%), I suffered many a night of \"this is better than any Limey beers\" type banter.

returned home for a break but went back with a case of special brew for them to try.

of the 4 others that were watching the football with me (for football read poncy rednecks wearing lots of padding and needing to have a rest every few minutes, glad to see the US rugby team get there buttts kicked at the weekend) i digress, of the 4 other california eejits I shared a billit with, 3 were sick and one passed out after managing 2 cans,

funny that they never mentioned inferior limey beers again
