A short evening trip off last night to make up for the lack of fish earlier on this season and fishable wether!
On the first mark for 15:35 an straight into fish. Double hook ups common with me and Micky banging into fish through the session. What a difference a fortnight makes!
No more than four miles off tonight and two miles North and South.
The tally came to around a dozen cod kept(a few thrown back as well) with the biggest about 4 1/2Lb, a few scotchies:rolleyes:, A Dab and I had a go for mackeral and ended up with this big poddler!

It gave me a great fight as did all the fish tonight on the 6-12lb class gear and 5 0z leads! No mackeral for us yet!
Off again on Thursday, maybe wednesday!
The sea was testing a times last night with a NE'ly swell and the wind fresh from the SE, hope it flattens off and doesn't stir things up as the water was almost clear at four miles off. It was very bouncy and uncomfortable at about 1900 hence we headed in early.

Graham.

nice one Graham,
fish are starting to show now.
You squeezed a session in just before this unsettled weather

well done

Paul

Aye Graham, as Paul says yous made it out just in time ......

I was all sorted for an evening trip tonight but had to call off as the white horses had their heads up high .... :)

never mind, always next time, I'm sure they're all gathering on the wrecks chasing the mackerel, that's chasing the sprats, that's chasing the fry, that's thinking .... "what the F*** was that" :)

Weekend if the weather improves (although the forecast is doubtful)
