Had a canny afternoon on The Groyne today. Fished from 12 o'clock until about 5. Six fish in total, 2 good size Whiting from the river side, then a codling around the 1.5 to 2 pound mark and 3 more Whiting from the beach side at the top of the tide. All fish caught on rag and Mackerel and were well spread out in the day instead of all at once.
No photos of the fish as I only had my works Blackberry and the camera is rubbish.
I did get a poor photo of this little fella who made an appearance as I was pulling in my last cast of the day.

He practically climbed out of the water in front of me so close I could almost touch. Definitely the closest I have been to a seal on land, he looked like he wanted a stroke like a dog.
