Me and Keith got to The Hall about 10.45 and set up.Lots of colour in the water but not much of a sea on.Keith christened his TTS with a Coalie just before 12.00 which was undersize and safely returned. About 45 mins later i christened my new rod with a real fish, a flattie just on 30cms and just over 12oz's.
Wind changed direction about 3pm and sea got a bit of a swell on,approx 5ft. Then Keith managed another coalie and another flattie, this 1 was 33cms long and weighed in just on a lb and a small dab.I then managed to catch a rockling and a tiny specimen of a fish that was literally half an inch longer than a 3/0 hook, this fell of the hook as i dragged it out of the water. Could not believe that something so small would attemp to swallow a 3/0 hook.
Things went quiet from about 5pm and no further fish were caught. We packed up and left at 7pm.There wasn't another soul fishing all day,i thnk everone is sick and disheartened of the present conditions.
No sign of cod or whiting but it was still nice to get out and wet the lines.
