fished the heugh today, got on about 9 am no one else on, first hour nothing and it went like that for the rest of the sesh ,two lads came on later same thing for them, about 2 hours into the sesh one of the lads said to me ,hey have you seen the seabirds going mad, out there[the sea was flat calm by the way] 250 yards out the gillimots and whatever else where diving and making one hell of a racket, next thing we spot the triangular fins of porpoises or dolphins at least 15 of them circuling around this mele of sea birds, the fins dissappeared and the next thing we saw was these big fish jummping out of the water in the middle of all this chaos we thought they might be salmon or seatrout attacking a big shoal of sand ells or sprats and the dollys and porps went into atack them, all in all a fantastic sight to see only 2 and half miles from hartlepool town centre,i caught nothing but it's not every day you see that , well worth it.

nice to see only seen them myself wen been out on my boat. we once saw a minky whail that was of skinny it was bwt hundred yards from us fantastic site.:)

I saw the Gannets and birds flying round on Sunday in the channel. It was a cracking site. Caught nowt but it was nice to be out. Lads reckon bay is chocca full of sprat.
