Fished the Heugh from 0800 till 1230. High water was around 1000. Glorious sunshine to start then towards the end the wind got up, cloud and a few spots of rain. Nothing until 0930 then staedy fishing until about 1130 then went dead again. Finished the day with 30 decent mackerel. Caught loads of blennys so mind the kids to watch out.
About 30 fishing when I left. Most people had a few fish.
All the fish were full of roe so fill ya boots now as I dont think they will stay long.
Loads of rubbish and guts on the pier - it is stinking.
TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU AND KEEP THE PIER CLEAN.
Whilst fishing a boat came out to get his pots in, the skipper was complaining about the amount of hooks in his ropes. This boat was no more than 30 yards off the pier when hauling the pots - what does he expect putting pots so close to the pier. Giv the rod lads a chance as I am sure the pots dont need to be that close.
