The Isle Of Whithorn

Well just got back from a Weekend in Scotland with Barka84 and a mate of ours. We set off at 6pm on Friday and headed for Annan where barka's caravan is, we weren't going fishing till the saturday so we just had a few bottles in the caravan and done a bit rabbiting..

we were going to have this for tea on saturday but when we got up it had been pecked and ripped apart by crows, anyways we set off for the isle of whithorn at about 7:30am saturday morning and got set up on the rocks about 10am. we set up here first..

with not much happening there and the tide coming in we were forced to move...

about an hour past nd i was into my first ever doggie..

not long later kesh also got his first ever doggie which he was sh*t scared of haha..

not long after that barka got a doggie aswell, it was just about a doggie a cast from there on( for me anyways )

heres me with another doggie..

we decided to get the spinning gear out and try our luck, it resulted in 2 pollock for me although 1 of them was about 3 inches long haha and a pollock for barka. heres the best of my 2 pollock..

and here is just a random pic of the sea..

We packed up around 5pm to get back to the caravan and catch the champions league final, i ended the day with 6 doggies and 2 pollock, barka 2 doggies and a pollock and unfortunately for kesh his first ever doggie was his only fish of the day. all in all we had a great days fishing and weekend cannit wait to go back some time.

all fish were returned apart from 1 doggie.

A great report Chris m8 and lovely clear pics too and it looks like you all enjoyed your session there but for me i dont like the way the rocky area was as i like to be standing firm while fishing but its everybody/s own liking as some places fish better than others so you have to go prepared so well done to you and the boys.

back of the monument at the harbour is pretty flat to fish off as are some of the platforms on burrowhead ...

Haha yeah mate the rocks were a pain in the ars*e nearly went over loads a times but realy enjoyed it and defo going back. The things we do for a fish eh haha

Sorry mate forgot to put what baits I used.

I used rag, mackerel, bluey and sand eel. 5 of me doggies took a rag and sand eel bait with the other 1 taking rag n mackerel strip
