Having been catching plenty of codling latelly in the river they seem to have just not fed at all this afternoon.dont know whether it had anything to do with the lack of flow or fresh water .i only had flounders from both lines i fished down the middle and close in.Baits used blow and fresh blacks and tried a bit bluey

I know mate been to hebburn todaycaught codling size whiting and flounders from same area same baits dont know why but like you say thats fishing

I always find the codling seem to go off when it stands still.
