Headed down walkway tonight at about half 6 and fished until 11. Pulling in weed every cast and getting snagged on it but it was pulling out, absolute nightmare. Tide pull was hard with it being a big tide but thought i'd stick it out thinking it would slacken eventually. Fished all night with a lot of bites but couldn't get any in because they were coming off until about 10 or so when I had a bite and started pulling it in and them got snagged, pulled out the snag and had a fish on. Pulled it in and it was a codling just sized but it went back. It was taken on frozen crab and was right down its throat. That was the only fish I seen tonight due to everyone leaving with there being weed every cast. I wanted to go to shields beach but with the sea dying I didn't think there would be any point. Still got frozen blacks tho so next time it's away I'll be heading down to use them.
