Thinking about spinning gear

This is the one I got today Berkly CherryWood Pro. At 10ft, casts 40-80grm and took it to SS pier, a young lad on the pier gave me a few pointers on how to cast and spin, after he gave it a few casts first he said it was a good bit of kit and handed the rod back to me, so I then started spinning and ended up with two macky which the rod coped with no problem.
I am now hooked on spinning much better sport.
