This Week...

Distinct lack of boat reports this week ;)

Wonder why that could be :D

Lets hope things calm down.

At least I have got some of the work on the boat I had planned done.

Just wondering how people make sure their batteries are charged. Mark lent me a solar panel but I am advised to get a charging regulator to avoid overcharging the battery. I have also got a charging divertor to allow both batteries to be charged simultaneously with the priority being to the one most discharged. So in theory the solar panel will charge the depleted battery and then the other one. when they are both fully charged it will cut off the current.

I want to find an alternative way of charging the batteries without using a solar panel as glass items tend to break on my boat. The wind powered chargers seem to be very expensive and way over the top for my needs. I am looking for a tiny wind vane with charger attached...any suggestions?

Cheers
Dave
