Spent the best part of today up at Thornborough sitting in the sun day dreaming of catching a carp when I was rudely woken by the sound of a bite alarm. They do take off the carp at Thornborough but in time the high burst of energy runs out, well until they see the net. The air was filled with a mixture of house martins and swallows it was like a re-enactment of the battle of Britain.Early in the morning the screech of buzzards could be heard and sure enough there was three birds riding the thermals great sight to watch.
