Fished shields on Saturday from 11am and didn't get a bite until 5pm. Lost my gear and the the next chuck got a canny bite. When I started reeling in I thought I'd cracked it, could feel fish pulling, hitting the ground etc. New it was a canny size and then this:


My gear and a coalie plus my gear off the chuck before and another coalie.

On the upside, got my stuff back plus the line that was trailing along with it and both fish returned safely.

Another one next cast and a flattie so all in all not the worst sesh I've ever had, but, if only!

True Mick. Sinkers only usable on clean ground. Lost gear was because the line just snapped without hardly putting any pressure on, must have been damaged which is unlucky as it was only put on the night before.

Them sinkers need to be in a gold box and only used for clean beaches lol well done on them fish and getting your rig back lucky is not the word but thats some accurate casting : )
