tried again many times after even tried a bit of plugging but all in all better than blanking ....had to place pretty much to ourselves as well..leftover rag has been salted as planned and hopefully yield another fish in the future .
bait was rag tipped with prawn siz 1.0 hook on pulley rig...

Was good to meet you today mate, I was just up the beach from you, had a canny session 5 fish 5 different species. Sea looked spot on, nice colour and movement to it.

First chuck I had this at range on rag:

Then next cast the worlds smallest Plaice

the greedy bugger was not much bigger than the crab bait and 3/0 hook.

A Flounder made it three:

with a Coalie and a 3 Bearded Rockling making up the set. All fish came at range except for the Flounder, otherwise not a sniff on the close in rod. Even split between rag and frozen crab doing the business; Mackerel baits were coming back in untouched.

Stuck it out until 7:45 then called it a day, my first time out for over a month and a very enjoyable session for it.

was well pleased to meet u too mate and well done on ur catches MT it was good day out for e and i hope it was for u too

well part tow of rag salting began today ...separated the worms from the box and threw out the very very damp salt....then placed the worms on a paper
IMG0105A.jpg

then shook the salt of the worms as much as i could by chucking em about in palm letting the salt fall off.placed them back in a box after i wiped it dry with kitchen roll

the placed more salt on to see what will happen tomorrow ....

It was nice to get out and blow the cobwebs off the gear after 7 months away from fishing. Shame there wasnt alot to show for our short session but more will come, hopefully there will be reason to post a few more catch reports soon :)
