Tope fishing Mull

Going great white tope hunting over the west coast in 3 weeks time, 3 of us have booked a charter for the day but not been tope fishing in that area for many years.
Anyone been of late if so hows it been fishing

Is it a there and back in one day trip or are you staying/camping longer?

Not sure Graham infact you may know the man i am going up with (Dave) we have a half price trip as i caught a skate in April with a gps tracker tag on and the reward for ringing it in with the details was £100 off a charter trip thanks to the Scottish Trust.

I would like a stop over and have two days at it but unsure about leave from work and also accom bumps price up and Dave may have a few jobs on in the last few dates left.

Be nice to continue the great white hunting, been a few years since i had a tope stripping line from my reel

Going for Tope or pollack? if we go for 2 days think we will do one day toping and 1 day pollacking. Used to love the shore fishing from there but its gone so down hill IMO i dont bother now.

I've been trying to catch one from the shore but haven't had a run yet. I might try again tomorrow

Hope the weather doesn't let you down, it's been awful for three months but who cares if ya catching fish, good luck

It has not been much better here Graham, wind rain and just not nice..fishing worst i have seen EVER and few flat days at sea, guess thats why i did Norway, skate fishing weekend, bass fishing weekend and trying the tope. Think it will be 4 of us going up if its 1 day but only 3 if its 2 days. We let you know if its two days and grab a pint.

P.S hope you are finding work better up there now.
