had a few hours down the tyne yesterday started at saint peters basin for about an hour with only one small whitling then as the tide came in I moved further up river to the first jetty past the redheugh bridge the mud was just starting to cover and a short lob into inches of water got me a bite then a double shot the fish kept playing and after a few hours the bait ran out in all I got 16 flounders all released

the jetty is on the toon side and after showing my nephew the photos I have been pesterd into taking him down tonite after work so will post the result later he is only 7 but is mad keen
