started fishing at 12.30 pm and never had a touch by 6.00 pm even the crabs were not playing so reeled in one rod and started to pack up when I seen my other rod start bouncing there was loads of crap floating by so I thought some had caught my line which was heading for the piers grabbed the rod and wound in loads of slack line then felt the weight and kick of a fish the end result was a nice codling had a few more chucks after that and was late picking my gf up but was worth the grief I got :D

No repeating your dads 8lber from the other year then?
not this year I think the boat moving has affected the way the mark fishes it would always fish best on the ebb but now Ive tried the ebb and flood with poor results and lately there has been a few decent size flounders which I have never in 20 odd year seen caught there, or it could be that its just a sh@@@ season
