Tyne, Spirit of Tyne 26/9/14

Had a few hours down at the spirit of the Tyne statue mark, last night, very slow, one tiny codling returned, & a small Dab I think, Just after dark, with the tide going out!
giving it another bash later to use the rest of the ragworm & mussel up!

I find the river fishes better with the tide coming in mate. Don't know why to be honest though lol. At least you managed a couple of fish an didn't blank!

At least you had something out mate the bottom part of the river hasnt been fishing well over the last few weeks but when it does fish the Spirit is one of my favourite marks. It will fish at any state of tide but i find it is usually bettrr from around mid tide up to high water then an hour or two back down.
