hello lads, once again im here to pick your brains... just been looking through the journal there this morning like every friday morning and read the sea angling article which is saying about fishing the tyne... i know you can fish from fish quay and the two piers, but can anyone give me any details of any other marks, i know with the fish quay when i used to fish there as a nipper we used to snag every cast so wouldnt mind somewhere not to snaggy. thanks for any help but also been out fishing the last two nights, first night nothing but me mate had a coalie... last night i had a flatty and a coalie, didnt see much else being caught as most other blokes left cause the sea died right off but atleast im still searching for me big one!

in my opinion the fishquay is poor, snaggy and has never produced anything decent. same further up at royal quays. st peters is suposed to be a good shot, but i personaly fish the beaches and rockmarks north of the tyne.

Smiths docks, can not go wrong there, any tide any conditions, bottoms not bad either...

between fishquay and royal quays, its the site that is being built on, old smiths dock. i wonder if in the future when it is finished it it will be a walkway like southshields? anyone know?
