tynemouth beach 25/1/09

fished 2 down and 3 up tonight, started at the bottom of the stairs and got plenty of bites at first but nowt hooked, moved to the gut when i saw cameras flashing, thought all me preyers were answered when i got into something but lost it to a snag, disheartened i moved back to the beach for the flood and got a small flounder first cast to save a blank, then nothing till i went home, saw two lads who had a 2lbser each and two lads i recognize from this very forum.

was an exciting night on a beach i'd never fished despite fishing the area alot, i'll be back after a bigger sea to hook a match winning monster!

well done on saving the blank tom, i couldn't manage it fished round the corner at cullercoats with me pal, 2 1/2 hrs either side of low, he had a codling of about a pound but that was our whack. plenty knocks and nibbles but nowt came of them. never mind, tha's always next time.........

Aye was a pretty poor night, fished with me mate Mark, I managed a Plaice just over size on the beach, then nowt else. Met up with a couple of lads I know on the gut who had a sweaty rockling each and that was it. Thought it might be better looking at the sea.

Moved round to the bottom of Whitley for an hour after that but no one got a sniff out of our lot.

yeah that was me, i moved back to where you were and had that flatty, there must have been stuff in there coz every time i reeled in there was no bait or it had defs been munched and i was getting plenty knocks.

Yeah, I was getting the same thing on the beach, loads of tiny little knocks and most of me bait stripped. Must have been crabs but didn't have anything hanging on when pulling in.

to be honest a think it was a mate of mine flashing his headlamp on the gut telling me to come over. Unless he was taking a picture of his rockling ha.
