Tynemouth Pier

Hi folks,
Looking for some advice. fishing a match on the pier on Thursday 1st November, 10:00 to 16:00 (LW is at 13:56) I already know to expect Whites and Codling to Lug, Crab and Razor. Can anyone shed more detail for rigs/tactics/fishing range etc? Is the venue clean; rotton bottoms? Do we require heavy line?

Any advice much appreciated.

i use a 2 hook flapper with a 2/0 on the top and a size 1 on the bottom. vary the range as fish are caught at all distances. the venue is fairly clean, i never loose much gear but watch out for the lobster pots and if your near the end watch out for the boats as they come in close and they dont seem to care if they catch your line. use 25lb line with a 50 or 60lb shockleader. hope this helps good luck
