Tynemouth pier
Well since i am feeling better. i thought i would take the kids for a walk along Tynemouth pier.

We got along to the end where there was a group of oldish fella's Fishing late 40'5/50's. I take it they were club member as that's who is only allowed to fish on the pier as far as i know.

Well anyway to say i was pretty disappointed in there behaviour for a group of grown men.

For starters a few of them were just throwing there rubbish straight into the sea.

secondly they were catching a few fish while we were there and a couple of them left there catches wriggling and gasping on the pier whilest they went off chatting. And i dont mean just for a few seconds i mean it was a good few minutes.

Thirdly and finally there was one bloke with a carrier bag of fish and from what i could see they were mostly under size.

I felt like saying something but felt i could not due to having my kids with me and didnt want to get into a slanging match!

How can these fellas get away with this if they are club members surely thats one of the points to being a member is to try and stop behaviour like this.

I hope one of the guys on there are a member of this forum and would like to put forward his point of view!

Stu

IF THE DAY IN QUESTION WAS MONDAY 20th JULY. THE CLUB RESPONSIBLE WOULD OF BEEN A B.O.T.A.C RETIRED MEMBERS MATCH FISHING FROM 10:00 - 15:00. THIS CLUB WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE LIKE EVERY CLUB THAT ITS MEMBERS ALL ACT IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER WHEN FISHING CLUB MATCHES,AND WHEN FISHING THE PIER WITH THE EYES OF THE WORLD WATCHING FROM ABOVE YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BUT THEY DON'T.
