Went out last night and knew there would be fish about just a matter of hooking them. There was loads of people out but managed to find a comfy spot. Set up and cast out and 10 mins later I had my 1st fish of the night. Felt like a very nice fish as I was using braid. Could feel every head shake and dive and turned out to be a nice fat cod of 3-3.5lb. Over the next couple of hours I landed a couple more one slightly bigger and a smaller one. About 2.5lb

Photos to follow as there on my mates phone just waiting for them to be emailed over. All fish taken on ragworm.

Also 2 very brave lads on the end of shields pier. There was some huge waves smashing right over the top of the lighthouse

Yes davey mate he got hit by 2 waves ,washed his box along and took a fathom and a 525 out his box , that was during the day when he could see the waves coming so god knows what it was like in the dark
